And One MoreThing...

Something I forgot to mention on the previous post, and, as if to remind me, the Pod today threw up a couple of real favourites, and they're celebratory love songs. The best kind in my view.

Neil Young's Like a Hurricane, and Bod Dylan's Shelter From the Storm.

"Come in she said, I'll give you shelter from the storm ..." Wonderful lyrics sung in such a distinctive original way.

But oh, Neil Young, what a star. A rough-cut diamond of a man blessed with a voice tremulous in its vulnerability, coupled with guitar playing that's raw and emotive.

"You are like a hurricane, there's calm within your eyes, I want to love you, but I'm getting blown away ..."
(Some say this is actually a song about drugs... I prefer to think it more about that unobtainable woman of your dreams).

Hear what you want to hear, I say. Enjoy.
