Bench Mark 3 & 4- 2012

The place where I take my bench portraits is a very affluent area of the country. In fact, one local housing estate has an average income of over 100,000 pounds per household. Consequently, it's a very conservative place, terribly middle class and almost entirely white. And here in these two pictures I have a rare, but relaxed and colourful looking immigrant commanding the bench, juxtaposed with two very proper white females sitting rather stiffly and as far apart as possible whilst sharing the same seat. None of them look particularly happy I have to say. The lady top-right clearly clocked me taking her picture, but I made out I was just pointing the camera here and there. I don't think she cared, although from her expression, I'm not so sure...
